Rumor: ZTE, Fiberhome, Huawei Top Unicom EPON Bid

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) has finished evaluating bids for its 11 mln-line EPON procurement, according to an industry insider. In one optical line termination (OLT) bid and three optical network unit (ONU) bids, ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) ranked first in 3 bids and Fiberhome (600498.SH) ranked first in one. The top three bidders overall were, in order, ZTE, Fiberhome and Huawei.
