Xunlei Stakes Future on Online Video Business

Online video service and download software developer Xunlei has announced it is restructuring its video and entertainment services, merging its "Xunlei Online" entertainment news platform into its "Xunlei Kankan" online video platform. Xunlei CEO Sean Zou said the company is transitioning into a video service provider, mainly earning profits through revenue share with cooperating licensed content providers. After more than a year of service, "Xunlei Kankan" has earned content providers tens of millions of RMB in shared profit, with top providers earning more than RMB 100,000 per month.
