Industry Association: SARFT Should Support Internet TV

Deputy secretary Hao Yabin of the China Video Industry Association (CVIA) confirmed that the CVIA, in support of TV makers producing Internet TV sets, has submitted a formal proposal regarding the development of Internet TV to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT). The CVIA's proposal acknowledges that SARFT supervision of Internet TV is necessary, but adds that it hopes SARFT will support the development of Internet TV, coordinating development of the technology via television manufacturers.
