Yulong Coolpad, Microsoft Ally to Launch Push Mail

Netease Tech, 9/28/09

Chinese handset manufacturer Yulong has announced an agreement with Microsoft to launch push mail service in China, and plans to release over 10 Coolpad brand handsets pre-installed with Microsoft Exchange push mail service.

The service is to be based on products for the Windows CE operating system, and will support 2G and 3G products. Yulong has already begun pre-installing the software on CDMA2000 EV-DO and TD-SCDMA handsets, and will expand to WCDMA-enabled Coolpad products in the future.

Microsoft has also reportedly made approximately 70% of the relevant core source code available to Yulong Coolpad, whose 3G products will fully support Microsoft Exchange services from now on.
