Unicom iPhone Pre-Sells 10,000 Units During Holiday

An executive at Unicom Huasheng Telecommunications Technology, the terminal subsidiary of China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH), has revealed that Unicom received over 10,000 pre-sale orders for the iPhone during the eight day National Day holidays beginning October 1.
The source went on to say that the Unicom iPhone can access the Apple App Store just as an iPhone purchased overseas can, but only after some modifications to suit typical domestic usage habits, and a pre-installed custom "Wo" 3G portal.
