Coship to Draft Set-Top Box Remote Standards

The National Audio, Video, and Multimedia Systems and Equipment Standardization Technical Committee (AVMSC) of the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) has announced the creation of a drafting group for a national "Audiovisual and Multimedia Infrared Remote Control Coding Standard." Chinese broadcast equipment manufacturer Shenzhen Coship Electronics (002052.SZ) has been officially named the deputy chair of the drafting group. The drafting group will be split into three subgroups, responsible for drafting standards for television sets, set-top boxes, and media broadcast equipment. Coship Electronics will be responsible for the set-top box subgroup.
