TCL Halts Production of Large Screen Non-Internet TVs

Han Qing, TCL Corporation (000100.SZ) president and general manager of TCL Multimedia's (1070.HK) China Services Center, has said that TCL will stop production of non-Internet TVs with screen sizes of 40 inches or greater, but that production of flat screen TVs under 40 inches will not be affected. TCL has also said that its flat-screen TVs will see another round of price reductions, with the 40-inch model dropping below RMB 4,000.

Tao Nan, director of sales at TCL Multimedia's China Services Center, also said that it was not possible for TCL to immediately leave the CRT television market.
