Sohu Launches iPhone Channel

Online media provider Sohu has officially launched its iPhone web channel at http://it.sohu.com/iphone, along with a mobile version and iPhone client.

Since the Sohu iPhone Channel began testing at the beginning of September, it has averaged more than 500,000 hits per day. The channel includes information about the iPhone, tutorials and tips, a Q&A system, software and game downloads, and a list of essential downloads. The company's iPhone client for its white collar social-networking site, Bai Shehui, has been downloaded more than 300,000 times.

In addition, Sohu's Digital Channel has reached a strategic partnership agreement with mobile software maker 91.com to create a special version of the company's "91 Assistant" for Sohu's digital product forum, that will in addition to the software's regular software download functionality also include interactive content, tips and tricks, and a Q&A system.

The iPhone forum within Sohu's digital product forum has already reached 100,000 unique visitors per day, and has 500,000 active users per month.
