Chinese Kids' Site Aobi.com Wins RMB 30 Mln Funding

An industry insider has revealed that Guangzhou-based Baitian Information Technology Ltd., operator of Chinese children's website Aobi.com, has received first-round funding of more than RMB 30 mln from Sequoia Capital's China fund. Aobi CEO Wu Lili confirmed the report.

Wu said that Aobi decided to raise funding half a year ago, and that the company has now completed its first round of funding.

When asked how Aobi plans to use the money, Wu said that the company would step up efforts to strengthen product offerings, expand its user-base, and increase partnerships with other companies.
