Shanxi Game Firm Obtains RMB 60 Mln Investment

Shanxi-based online game developer and operator Wentian Technology Development has obtained RMB 60 mln in funding and will change its shareholder structure, but has yet to reveal any details. The funds will primarily be used for game engine R&D. CEO Li Yuebin said Wentian plans to release at least four new products over the next year. Q-style Chinese fantasy turn-based game Wen Qing Online, 3D MMORPGs Shu Xian and Yingxiong Wentian and 2D MMORPG Feng Shen are all under development. Wen Qing is already in preparations for internal testing. Besides these four products, Wentian expects to release another game by the end of next year.
