Baidu to Establish International HQ in Shenzhen

Chinese online search company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and the Shenzhen municipal government have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, Baidu will establish a South China headquarters, international headquarters, and R&D center in Shenzhen.

Baidu chairman and CEO Robin Li said that Baidu will take advantage of the city's advantageous environment created by Shenzhen's talent, information, financial, organizational, and industry resources as well as government policies, to strengthen its regional strategic position in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia, and expand its international business.
