Former Perfect World Exec Founds New Game Firm

Zeng Ge, CEO of Perfect World (Nasdaq: PWRD) subsidiary literature site Zongheng.com, who formerly headed Perfect World's 'Zhu Xian' MMORPG project and served as Perfect World's group strategic development director, resigned at the beginning of January, and has started his own game firm, Quyou Game. Former Perfect World MMORPG chief planner Wang Zhenyu and art director Wang Guoguang have also joined Quyou.

Quyou's primary product is "Wuxian Shijie" ("Limitless World"), which is built around the company's proprietary 3D engine. According to an industry source, the company has received several investments from foreign and domestic angel investors. The source, however, did not reveal the investment amounts.
