Rumor: Tiansheng Renews Premier League Rights

Industry sources have reported that Tiansheng Media has renewed its exclusive three-year broadcast rights for the English Premier League football matches on the Chinese mainland, from 2010-2013, for approximately USD 50 mln. Contrary to earlier rumors that it won a RMB 100 mln bid for the rights, CCTV reportedly did not even participate in the bidding.
