TCL Allies with CNTV on Internet TV

At a press conference in Beijing, Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer TCL (000100.SZ) and China Network Television (CNTV), CCTV's online video site, officially announced a strategic partnership to jointly establish an online video laboratory. With the partnership, TCL has become the first television set manufacturer to ally with an authoritative national online video service.

CCTV.com vice president Xia Xiaohui said that the partnership between CNTV and TCL is expected to facilitate the development of the network, services, and the industry as a whole, mutually benefiting and strengthening both sides, and advancing the development of the new media and electronic information industries.
