Tencent Developing QQ Maps

Li Jing, deputy director of Tencent's (0700.HK) search platform, revealed that the Chinese internet company's "QQ Maps" product will come online this year, but said that no specific timetable had yet been set. Li said that the API for QQ Maps will not be open at launch, but that Tencent will provide more access points for the service in the future. QQ Maps will feature integration with Tencent's Soso search engine, and will also offer offline map services through a software client.
