Ctrip Completes Second Call Center

Chinese online travel site Ctrip (Nasdaq: CTRP) has announced that construction is complete on its RMB 200 mln IT facility in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, housing Ctrip's second call center with over 12,000 seats. Ctrip also plans to develop a call center outsourcing business for clients including those in the banking industry.

Ctrip CEO Fan Min said that China's travel industry revenues reached RMB 1.26 trln in 2009, serving approximately 2 bln travelers, while annual travel industry revenue is expected to reach RMB 1.4 trln and 2.3 bln travelers in 2010. By 2015, the industry is expected to reach 3.5 bln travelers, while travel industry revenue will have grown an average of at least 12% annually, and account for 4.5% of China's GDP.
