GameLook, 5/27/10

On May 26, Chinese internet gaming company Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME) hosted a new product press conference for its 2010 AllStar product offerings at the Shanghai Concert Hall. At the press conference, Shanda announced that the Chinese version of the Mochi Media online gaming platform will launch in June under the Chinese name "Maqiu Kaifazhe Pingtai" ("Mochi Developer Platform").

The Mochi Media casual gaming platform currently has 150 mln active users worldwide, and has service partnerships with more than 40,000 websites in 48 countries and regions. Shanda Games will bring the platform's business model to China this year, establishing a Web 2.0 Flash platform and providing game developers with product analysis, promotions, and profit-sharing models, among other services and tools, allowing developers to profit from their games through in-game ads or sales of virtual items.
