MIIT: Google's ICP License Still Under Review

Sina Tech, 7/07/10

Wang Lijian, head of the press office at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), recently told foreign media that Google's ICP license is currently under annual review, and that Google submitted its application "relatively late," but that there was no way to tell when a verdict would be made.

Editor's Note: In an interview with reporters from the Oriental Morning Post, Google spokesperson Marsha Wang said that while Google has updated its China landing page, the changes have nothing to do with the status of Google's annual ICP license inspection, and that there was no new information to be made public as of yet.
