Perfect World, Virtual Item Trading Platform Cooperate on MMO

Chinese virtual item trading platform Xunbao173.com will launch item trading services for online game developer and operator Perfect World's (Nasdaq: PWRD) self-developed 3D MMORPG Perfect World II on July 28. Through the service, gamers will be able to list and sell in-game props to other players on consignment. The platform is embedded in the game, allowing users to see the results of their transactions immediately after they close the deal and providing for greater back-end security for buyers.

At present, Xunbao173.com provides service only through Perfect World II, and will initially not offer account sales functionality.

On July 20, Xunbao173 announced that it would partner with "Fantasy Zhu Xian," a 2D MMORPG also developed and operated by Perfect World, to open a virtual item trading platform.
