Rumor: Former Baidu Programmer Joins Shanda R&D

Qiu Zhidong, former systems architect for Chinese internet firms such as Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and Kuxun, has joined Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) as head of search for Shanda Innovation Institute.

Qiu previously was responsible for planning and implementation of Baidu Music and Baidu Maps.
