China Unicom Sells 100,000 iPhone 4 Handsets in Four Days

Li Gang, Senior Vice President of Chinese mobile service provider China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) revealed in an interview that the company had sold out of its first shipment of 100,000 iPhone 4s on the fourth day after officially commencing sales. Li further commented that for the remaining new customers who had already pre-ordered iPhone 4 handsets, China Unicom would complete purchase, registration and contract transactions before the end of October.
