Chinese B2B e-commerce service provider HC International (8292.HK) announced this afternoon that its B2B website HC360 is partnering with Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), Google, Tencent's (0700.HK) Soso, and Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) Sogou search engines to launch "Biao Wang 3.0" (Brand King 3.0), a new product that HC360 described as using a "B2B e-commerce + search engine model."
Under the partnership, HC360 will spend RMB 40 mln on top advertising keywords related to "B2B" on all four search engines. Through this, HC360 will be able to provide more precisely targeted keywords for its clients, and SMEs will receive traffic from both B2B e-commerce and search engines - a more effective way of getting traffic than if they were to purchase ad keywords themselves.
Biao Wang 3.0 is priced at RMB 9,999, which includes a year of service and 12 ad keywords. HC360 COO Gao Xin said that clients could increase incoming traffic by 30% to 40% using the new product.
