BCD Semiconductor Q4 2010 Profit Up 9% YoY

Chinese analog semiconductor device manufacturer BCD Semiconductor (Nasdaq: BCDS) has announced its financial results for the three months and full year ended December 31, 2010. Q4 2010 revenue was USD 31.6 mln, a decrease of 18.1% QoQ from USD 38.6 mln for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010, and up 14.1% YoY from USD 27.7 mln for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2009. Full year 2010 revenue was USD 132.8 mln, an increase of 31.7% YoY from USD 100.8 mln from fiscal year 2009.

Q4 2010 net income was USD 3.8 mln, down 45.7% QoQ from USD 7.0 mln for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010 and up 8.6% YoY USD 3.5 mln for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2009. Full year 2010 net income was USD 20.4 mln, up 195.7% YoY from USD 6.9 mln for fiscal year 2009.

Revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2011 is expected to be in the range of USD 30 to USD 31 mln, representing growth of approximately 5% to 8% YoY when compared to Q1 2010.
