Rumor: Hexun, Shanda Literature to IPO in Q2 2011

Sohu IT, 2/16/11

Chinese financial information portal Hexun Information Technology, a subsidiary of Lianban Group, and Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA) subsidiary Shanda Literature both plan to IPO in Q2 2011, according to rumors on Chinese Internet firm Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) Microblog. Hexun will IPO in Q2 2011, while Shanda Literature will reportedly list on the Nasdaq in June.

Shanda Literature CEO Hou Xiaoqiang confirmed in July 2010 that Shanda Literature had begun issuing stock options in preparation for an IPO, which industry sources at the time claimed would be in 2011.

In late 2011, another source reported that Hexun expected to list on a US exchange in Q2 2011 or possibly Q1 2011 at the earliest.
