Baidu-Rakuten, Minsheng Bank Offer B2C Merchant Loans

Chinese e-commerce site Lekutian.com, operated by Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and Japanese e-commerce retailer Rakuten, recently announced a partnership with China's Minsheng Bank in providing a 'merchant' loan service for small and medium-sized enterprises, with lines of credit extending up to RMB 50 mln.

Lekutian's role will be to recommend to Minsheng Bank outstanding e-commerce businesses which meet loan criteria, and guide loan seekers through the entire application process.
