According to figures from Chinese market research firm All View Consulting, a market survey subsidiary of the China Video Industry Association (CVIA), China's 3D TV sales volume increased in January 2011 due to January 1 (New Year's Day) and Chinese New Year promotions, reaching 54,000 units sold, up 81.2% from the previous month (i.e. December 2010). Revenue from 3D TV sales in January was RMB 820 mln, up 65% from the previous month.
Sales volume of 3D TVs from March 2010 to January 2011 reached 151,000 units, achieving RMB 2.59 bln in revenue.
As of January 2011, China's 3D TV penetration rate was 2.3%.
