Rumor: UC Mobile Seeks Overseas IPO by 2011

Sohu IT, 3/25/11

A source in the investment community claims that Chinese mobile browser developer UC Mobile has been in contact with investment banks and is preparing for an overseas listing at the end of this year. UC Mobile's main sources of revenues include traffic acquisition fees, search engine partnerships, user fees, content fees, m-commerce revenue, and ad union revenue. UC Mobile statistics indicate that as of September 2010, the company had over 100 mln users, and over 500 mln monthly page views.

In November 2009, UC Mobile president Yu Yongfu said that the company planned an overseas listing within three years. At present, Yu Yongfu will not comment on any IPO-related rumors.
