Baidu Open App Platform Launches Ad System

Chinese Internet firm Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) open application platform (app.baidu.com) launched an online advertising system on March 28. Currently, the system only allows users to circulate advertisements that appear at the bottom of an application or during loading time.
Baidu Open App Platform allows application developers to choose whether to allow advertising on their product when submitting it to the platform. If authorized, Baidu will place ads that best match the application's content; if not authorized, Baidu will not place any ads on the developer's application.
