Rumor: Tencent to License Zynga Social Game

Chinese Internet firm Tencent (0700.HK) is reportedly in talks with U.S.-based social game developer Zynga to introduce social game CityVille to the China market. According to an industry source, Tencent has made the project a high priority, and the outcome of negotiations should be announced within a month.

Chinese social networking site Kaixin001 recently launched a CityVille clone called "Kaixin Chengshi," which saw the number of installed users exceed 2 mln in the first ten days.
