China Mobile Launches Mobile Games from Overseas Developers

In Guangzhou recently, representatives of China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) announced the launch of more than 20 new showcase games through the operator's Mobile Market app store, including Electronic Arts' casual game Zuma's Revenge and US-based mobile game developer Glu Mobile's Gun Bros. China Mobile said that subscribers will be able to pay for games using prepaid talk time credit in Mobile Market. The operator also announced the launch of a new section of Mobile Market, "New Releases," in which the games will be offered at half price from April 20 to April 26.

China Mobile has formed partnerships with Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Glu Mobile, Taiwanese telecom operator Far EasTone, and other companies to offer games and applications through Mobile Market.
