Dickson Seow, communications director for PayPal Asia Pacific, announced on the official PayPal blog yesterday that following a routine annual business review, PayPal will no longer be a payment option on Chinese B2B e-commerce site Alibaba.com's (1688.HK) AliExpress international wholesale e-commerce platform after August 3. Seow added that PayPal's total payment volume in Greater China exceeded USD 4.4 bln in 2010, up 44% YoY.
