HiSoft Acquires IT Talent Training Company

Chinese IT outsourcing firm HiSoft (Nasdaq: HSFT) announced today its acquisition of Beijing-based IT training, software development and outsourcing service provider Ascent Technologies. HiSoft plans to combine its existing training resources with those of Ascent Technologies to establish the "HiSoft-Ascent Training Center," with which HiSoft intends to fully enter the IT training sector. Overseeing the project is Ascent Technologies founder Leon Liang.

Ascent Technologies was founded in 2004. With its headquarters in Beijing, the company has branch offices in Changchun, Qinhuangdao, Shijiazhuang and Wuxi. The company's main operations include providing advanced training for software industry talent, as well as software outsourcing and software R&D.
