Sina Weibo Signs Local Partner for Japan Expansion

At a press conference in Tokyo today, Find Japan (www.find-japan.co.jp) announced that it would partner with Chinese internet company Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) on the expansion of Sina's Weibo microblogging product into the Japanese market. Sina will authorize Find Japan as the sole name verification service provider for Weibo accounts in Japan.
Sina will launch name verification for Japanese Weibo accounts on July 1. Find Japan will provide verification services for Japanese Weibo accounts purporting to belong to companies, organizations, groups, and celebrities.
