China Mobile to Launch Mobile Social Gaming Network

China Mobile Gaming Portal, 7/15/11

After more than a year of preparations, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) is preparing for the imminent launch of 17 mobile games on its mobile gaming portal (g.10086.cn) with a cross-platform social gaming network similar to OpenFeint or Gree. The 17 games will use China Mobile's self-developed gaming platform to provide networked features including player rankings, achievements, challenges, comments, buddies, updates, and recommendations. The gaming platform will be able to import connections from the Fetion messaging service and the 139 mobile SNS. SDKs for the service are available for K-Java and Android/OPhone developers.
