China's H1 2011 Flat-Screen TV Set Sales Reach 15 Mln

According to the latest figures from the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), domestic sales of flat-screen TV sets reached 15 mln units in H1 2011, and are expected to reach 38 mln for the year. Sales were driven by a drop in the price of 3D TV sets, with more than 6 mln units expected to be sold this year. Also, with the backing of major manufacturers, the sale of smart TV sets this year is estimated to exceed 4 mln units.
