China to Release M2M Sensor Standards by 2012

Xing Tao, vice secretary of the Standardization Administration of China's (SAC) Working Group on Sensor Networks (WGSN), recently disclosed that six national standards related to M2M sensor network architecture and basic specifications will be published by early 2012. The six standards, which will be open to public review until September this year when they will be passed on to the SAC, involve specifications for M2M industry operations as well as sensor network and internet ports.
