Rumor: Lenovo LePad 2 to Launch in Q3 2011

Sohu IT, 8/23/11

Chinese laptop, PC, and handset manufacturer Lenovo (0992.HK) will reportedly release several new tablets in mainland China in Q3 2011. In addition to the LePad K1 released yesterday, the ThinkPad Tablet and the LePad 2 are also slated for release, according to an industry source. The source added that the tablets will feature either Android or Lenovo's own version of Android, LeOS, depending on which market segment it is targeting.

Lenovo engineers have stated that LeOS will continue to improve upon its Android foundation, and the LePad 2 may feature an upgraded version of LeOS.
