ChinaJilin, 9/19/11

According to an industry source, Jishi Media, the provincial cable TV operator for Jilin province, is now raising funds in preparation for a public listing. Jilin province began consolidating its broadcast network assets in November 2003, leading to the establishment in September 2005 of the Jilin Radio and Television Information Network Group (now Jishi Media) through the purchase of physical broadcast network assets in Jilin's 51 counties and cities in exchange for shares in the new provincial broadcaster.

Broadcast network consolidation throughout Jilin province was completed in 2007.
