Chinese internet company Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) revealed its new social networking product, "Kandian," today. Kandian is reportedly a sub-site of Sina's Weibo microblogging product, and offers a multimedia sharing platform built on Weibo social connections. Users of Kandian can watch, discuss, share, and create playlists of favorite videos, satellite television programming, and live broadcasts.
Kandian remains in closed beta and requires a beta code for access. Authorized users can log in using their Weibo accounts, and may synchronize their Kandian updates with Weibo.
