Rumor: China Mobile's August 2011 Corporate Revenue Up 21% YoY

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) saw revenue from corporate clients rise 21.4% YoY in August, according to an industry source. Revenue from government, education, and financial industry clients grew the fastest, with the number of government clients rising 24.2% YoY to 338,000 by the end of August. Total education sector clients grew 26.6% YoY to 195,000, and total financial services clients grew 36.6% YoY to 78,000.

According to the source, China Mobile added 40,000 new enterprise clients in August for a total exceeding 3.15 mln. Total seats grew 2.33 mln to 220 mln users.

In addition, as of September 12, China Mobile had signed Wireless City network construction contracts with 161 cities in 26 provinces, including with all prefecture-level cities in Fujian, Hebei, Guangdong, and Jiangxi.
