Follow5 to Cease Operations in 30 Days

Chinese microblogging platform Follow5 today announced it will cease operations in 30 days. According to the announcement, the website will shut down before November 15. Users will still be able to log in via the mobile site (m.follow5.com) until December 4. User data will be available for download.
Launched on August 6, 2009, Follow5 previously boasted a user base numbering in the millions. Follow5 specialized in offering account synchronization with dozens of other platforms, including Twitter, Digu, Fangou, Jiwai, Kaixin001, and Renren (NYSE: RENN).
