Information Times, 12/22/11

Seven microblog operators in Guangdong province - Tencent (0700.HK), Ycwb.com, Guangzhou Daily newspaper website Dayoo.com, SZNews.com, Southern Media Group's Oeeee.com, Digu, and Fanfou - have announced they will begin real name system trials.

The trials currently only apply to newly registered users, requiring individual users to provide their national ID card number and other information, while enterprise users must supply relevant license numbers, which the operators will verify with government authorities. Users can choose to publish under their real name or a pseudonym.
