Qihoo 360 Launches Photo Sharing SNS

Tencent Tech, 1/20/12

Chinese online security software developer Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) recently launched a social photo-sharing site, Woxihuan.com.

"Wo Xihuan" ('I Like') offers Pinterest-like functionality, allowing users to favorite and share pictures and websites. The site differs from comparable websites in being designed as an extension for 360's 360 Safe Browser and 360chromium web browsers, both of which are the only browsers with support for the bookmarking service at present. Users who download and install the extension will see a small button labeled "I Like" at the right side of the browser window. Users will be able to share images or webpages (with the exception of online banking and online payment sites, or other non-bookmarkable sites) by clicking the button.

Users can log into Woxihuan.com using their Qihoo 360, Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo, or Renren (NYSE: RENN) accounts. Users of the site can freely browse other users' saved content, or subscribe to "channels" featuring aggregated and curated user bookmarks.
