Rumor: Apple to Release Chinese Language Siri

eNet, 2/08/12

Apple will begin testing a Chinese-language version of its Siri voice recognition virtual assistant app this month, according to an engineer working on the project, who expects the Chinese version to launch next month. The app currently supports only standard Mandarin pronunciation and some everyday expressions. Later versions will support regional dialects and provide localized search results.

Siri is a virtual assistant that provides voice control for search, apps, and navigation.
