China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has announced it will build its second national call center in Huai'an, Jiangsu province. China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) will invest RMB 4 bln to build the 20,000-seat call center, which will be completed within five years. After the first stage of construction is complete, the call center will provide services to users in five provinces and one municipality; after the second stage is finished, the center will serve China Mobile users in all 31 provinces and municipalities.

China Mobile previously announced it would invest RMB 4 bln to construct a national call center in Luoyang, Henan province. The construction of national call centers implies that China Mobile is consolidating management of its call centers, which traditionally were divided between administrative regions.
