TMall Launches Virtual "Try It On" Video Service

DoNews, 3/15/12

Alibaba Group's B2C e-commerce site TMall has announced the release of a new video recognition tool that allows users to film themselves with their webcams (e.g. their face) and obtain an image of themselves with a selected product, making online shopping more convenient.

The tool is currently in testing with eyeglasses, rendering a 360 degree rotatable image of the user wearing a selected pair of eyeglasses, which users can then directly purchase.
