Hunan TV & Broadcast to Receive RMB 8 Bln Gov't Funding

Hunan TV & Broadcast Intermediary (000917.SZ) and the Hunan provincial branch of China Development Bank signed a strategic partnership agreement recently under which the provincial cable TV operator will receive a total of RMB 8 bln in funding over the coming five years. The funds, which will include bank loans, will be used to support the integration of the operator's cable networks, including integration and digital cable upgrades to rural subscriber networks, trans-regional network service expansion, joint operations partnerships with overseas cable networks, and other plans.
