Shenzhen Court Rejects Proview Bankruptcy

On March 27, the Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court rejected Taiwan-based Fubon Insurance's request to declare Shenzhen-based display device manufacturer Proview Technology, a subsidiary of Proview International Holdings (0334.HK), bankrupt.
The court ruled that as Proview continues to claim ownership of the "iPad" trademark, which has an unknown value, it was unable to find that the company has insufficient assets to repay creditors or was otherwise clearly unable to repay outstanding loans. As such, the court was unable to grant Fubon's request.
