Rumor: Facebook Seeks Local Partner to Enter China

Informed sources close to Facebook revealed that Mark Zuckerberg has made many private trips to China to meet with Chinese web site managers allegedly regarding the acquisition of a Chinese website for the purpose of entering the Chinese market, according to foreign media reports.

An informed source stated that Facebook has stepped up its preparations by setting up a dedicated ethnically Chinese project team tasked with providing the necessary information for Facebook to enter China, for example, how to acquire a Chinese website, cooperate with telecom operators, search for Chinese capital, and improve the protection and auditing of user information.
