Rumor: Tencent President Resigns

Martin Lau, president of Tencent (0700.HK), will reportedly resign. His position may be taken over by current Tencent Games president Mark Ren.

Tencent CEO Pony Ma dismissed the rumors.

Lau joined Tencent in 2005 as chief strategic officer overseeing strategy, investment, acquisitions, and investor relations, and was appointed president in February 2006. In March 2007, he was made an executive director.
